The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered tomorrow, Saturday February 12, 2011 to mark the passing of Lynn Falconer and Dr. Walter Szetela.
FALCONER, Lynn passed away on Monday January 31, 2011. Since 2002 Lynn was the Postgrad Education Program Manager in the Department of Psychiatry.
A celebration of her life will be held this Saturday February 12, 2011 at 2pm in the Latham Hall at the William A. Webber Medical Student & Alumni Centre, 2750 Heather Street, Vancouver.
SZETELA, Dr. Walter Associate Professor Emeritus of Mathematics and Science Education (1991) passed away on Monday January 31, 2011. Starting at UBC in the 1970’s as a Professor of Math Education he worked here for over 21 years and served as Professor Emeritus following his retirement.
