The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered today, Friday, February 24, 2012 in honour of Dr. Theo Goldberg, Professor Emeritus of Visual and Performing Arts, who passed away on February 18, 2012.
In 1970, Dr. Goldberg joined UBC in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts where he shaped many of the music educators of today as well as helping pioneer the electronic music movement. After his retirement in 1986, he joined the Media and Graphics Interdisciplinary Centre (MAGIC) as Professor Emeritus and Research Associate.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday Feb 26 at 3:00pm at Cheers Restaurant in North Vancouver.
