The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered today, Friday July 20, in memory of Dr. Mary Morehart, Associate Professor Emerita of Art History, Visual Art and Theory (1989), who passed away on Saturday July 14, 2012.
Dr. Morehart began her career at UBC as a lecturer in 1962, becoming an Associate Professor in 1969. She was Director of Graduate Studies in the Fine Arts Department from 1970-1972, and also worked as Acting Head of the Department in several instances.
There will be a celebration of life at the end of the summer. The date and details have not been decided at this time.
