Leonhard Martin Wedepohl – passed away on March 17, 2013. Dean Emeritus Wedepohl retired as professor from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1998. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science from 1979 to 1985. During his long career, internationally and locally, in industry and academia, he received many awards for his research in engineering, but most cherished the faculty teaching prize from his students, whom he hoped to inspire with a sense of creativity. A mass will be celebrated on his behalf at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, in Kelowna. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kelowna General Hospital will be appreciated.
