The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered on Thursday, March 28, in remembrance.
Michael Shaw – passed away on March 25, 2013. Vice-President and Professor Emeritus Shaw came to UBC in 1967, as Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, where he served until his appointment as Vice President Academic, from 1975 to 1983. Dr. Shaw continued his research and teaching until retirement in 1989. Among his many awards, UBC awarded him a D.Sc. in 2003. Dr. Shaw’s biography is posted on the Land and Food Systems website.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 11.
