Professor Emeritus Werner Cohn passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018, in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Cohn was a dedicated member of the Department of Anthropology and Sociology from 1960 through 1986. He was an ethnographer of the European Gypsies and wrote about social stratification.
