The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered on Tuesday, July 5, in remembrance.
Nobel Laureate Professor Elie Wiesel, passed away on July 2, 2016 at the age of 87. Dr. Wiesel was conferred an honorary degree by UBC in 2012.
