The BC Flag (Main Mall & Agronomy) will be lowered today, Wednesday December 15, 2010 to mark the passing of Leszek Karpinski.
KARPINSKI, Leszek, passed away December 2, 2010. After receiving his M.L.Sc. in 1969 he was appointed as a cataloguer, then as a Humanities Reference Librarian and finally as a bibliographer at UBC Library. He built a strong library collection in the field of religious studies, German, French, Italian language and literature, classical studies, archaeology and European history.
