The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy) will be lowered today, Friday, October 21, 2011, to mark the passing of Geoffrey B. Hainsworth and Tony Harry Marston Craven.
Craven, Tony Harry Marston, passed away on September 14, 2011. Mr. Craven was with UBC for over 30 years of service and was the 25 Year Club President from 1984 – 1985. When Tony retired he was the Assistant Treasurer, responsible for the University Pension Plan. A celebration of life was held on October 4, 2011. Hainsworth, Geoffrey passed away on October 13, 2011, He began working for UBC on July 1, 1968, in the Department of Economics. He became an Associate Professor Emeritus of Economics in 1999. For more information please contact the Economics Department.
