James Alexander Stirling Macdonald passed away on November 29, 2013. Professor Emeritus Macdonald taught in the Art Department in the Faculty of Education, and served as Chair of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts in Education from 1980 to 1983. He retired from UBC in 1985.
Anthony Martin Marcus passed away on December 13, 2013. Dr. Marcus was a forensic psychiatrist, first appointed to the Department of Psychiatry in the Faculty of Medicine in 1962 and retired as Professor Emeritus in 1992. He was Acting Head of the Department from 1970 to 1972.
