The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered on Monday, March 24, in remembrance.
Philip Rider Abernethy – passed away recently at the age of 32. Philip was in his second year at UBC in a Bachelor of Social Work program, preparing to graduate in May 2014.
Sheldon Cherry – passed away on March 23, 2014. Professor Emeritus Cherry taught in the Faculty of Civil Engineering from 1956 until his retirement in 1993. During the 80s, Dr. Cherry served as Associate Dean for the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
