The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered on Monday, October 27, in memory of Librarian Emeritus Anna Ruth Leith, who passed away on October 16, 2014.
Anna earned a BA from UBC in 1945. In 1959, she joined the UBC Library Science Division, becoming Division Head in 1961. She was appointed Head of the UBC Woodward Biomedical Library in 1967, and retired in 1988.
