The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered on Thursday, November 20, in remembrance.
Alan Owen Steeves passed away on November 16, 2014. Mr. Steeves was the Computer and Electronics Manager in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He contributed exceptional service during his 35-year career at UBC, winning the President’s Service Award for Excellence in 2009. Alan is remembered as a gifted IT specialist, a distinguished First Nations artist, an avid conservationist and a fine chef.
