The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered on Friday, February 13, in remembrance.
Professor Emeritus Michael C.L. Gerry passed away on February 7, 2015. Mike completed his bachelors and masters studies at UBC and returned in 1967 to teach in the Department of Chemistry, becoming Professor in 1981. Mike received many awards for his dedication to both teaching and research. He continued publishing after his retirement in 2004. Professor Gerry was inducted into the Quarter Century Club in 1996.
