Professor Emeritus Alan David Kraus passed away on May 16, 2015. Dr. Kraus was an internationally renowned economist, having received many accolades and awards for his contributions to the field of financial economics. Alan was also a great teacher and mentor, teaching the most basic foundation course to every Finance Ph.D. student at UBC.
A Celebration of Alan’s Life will take place on Saturday, May 30 at 1 p.m. at the University Golf Club. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson Society BC or the Alan Kraus Scholarship at the Sauder School of Business at UBC would be sincerely welcomed.
