The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered on Monday, June 22, in memory of Professor Emeritus John Doneric Chapman, who passed away on June 9, 2015. Dr. Chapman retired from the Department of Geography after over 40 years, serving as Head from 1968 to 1974. John is remembered by his colleagues as a gentleman, a geographer and an institution builder.
A celebration of John’s life will take place at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 22 at Cecil Green Park House.
