Professor Emeritus Allen Aaron Sinel passed away on January 29, 2015. Dr. Sinel came to the Department of History in 1965, where he was recognized for his teaching and administrative work. He was inducted into the Quarter Century Club in 1996 and retired in 2001.
Professor Sinel served the History Department for more than fifty years as a gifted teacher and scholar, a wise administrator and an engaged and engaging mentor and raconteur. A celebration of Prof. Sinel’s life will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at UBC’s Green College. RSVP to aasinelmemorialservice@gmail.com
