Professor Emeritus Frederick J. Dill passed away on September 19, 2015. Dr. Dill earned his BSc in 1961 and his MSc in 1964, both at UBC. He returned to UBC as a research associate and was hired by the department of Medical Genetics in 1972, where he remained until his retirement in 2003. Dr. Dill was inducted to the Quarter Century Club in 1997.
Dr. Dill was a clinical cytogeneticist who served at VGH, BC Children’s, and the Royal Columbian. His passion for teaching influenced many of his students to pursue a career in medical genetics.
