The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered on Wednesday, October 14, in remembrance.
Jade Sheasby passed away suddenly on August 19, 2015, shortly before the start of her fourth year of studies in the Bachelor of Music program. A talented French Horn player from Calgary, Jade played principal horn in the UBC Symphony Orchestra. Jade was part of a close community of brass students, and is fondly remembered by students and faculty in the School of Music for her wonderful musicianship and winning smile. The flag is lowered on October 14 in her memory and in honour of her 22nd birthday.
