Professor Emeritus Grosvenor (Grove) E. Powell passed away on October 3, 2015. Dr. Powell taught American Literature in the Department of English from 1963 to his retirement in 1996. Dr. Powell published widely on a range of American poets, particularly Yvor Winters. He is survived by his wife, Mava Jo Powell, also from the Department of English.
