Professor Emeritus Roger Sherriff Tonkin, OBC passed away on December 23, 2015. Dr. Tonkin joined the UBC Department of Pediatrics in 1968, was inducted to the Quarter Century Club in 1996, and appointed Professor Emeritus in 1997. Dr. Tonkin’s interests were Adolescent Medicine and eating disorders. He is known locally for developing the Youth Clinic at BC Children’s Hospital, and internationally as a health visionary in standards of practice, curriculum development and research.
