The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered on Friday, June 24, in remembrance.
Mr. Roy Oshiro passed away on May 4, 2016 at the age of 94. Mr. Oshiro was among the Japanese Canadian students who were conferred honorary degrees in a special ceremony on May 28, 2012. An interview with Mr. Oshiro is online at UBC Archives.
