The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered on Friday, July 22, in remembrance.
Professor Emeritus Edward Albert Allen passed away on June 21, 2016. Dr. Allen first came to the UBC Department of Medicine in 1980, retiring from the Division of Respiratory Medicine in 1994. During the same period, he was the Provincial Director of TB Control for the BC Ministry of Health. In recognition of his research and service, he was honored with the George Elliot Award for lifetime contribution to public health in BC.
A celebration of life will be held at the Hollyburn Country Club in West Vancouver on Sunday, August 14, 2016, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.
