Richard Hare

The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered on Monday, August 15, in remembrance.

 Mr. Richard Hare passed away on August 9, 2016. Richard was inducted to the 25 Year Club in 2011. He worked as a Library Assistant in the Koerner Library, was a member of the CUPE 2950 executive, and a long-standing activist on the UBC Health and Safety Committee.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday August 26th from 12:30-3:00pm at Brock House (3875 Point Grey Road) – on the patio on the north side of the house. If possible please let the union office know if you plan to attend.

By request of the family, in lieu of flowers we will be making a donation in Richard’s name to the Wilderness Committee .
