The BC Flag (Main Mall and Agronomy Road) will be lowered on Tuesday, October 11, in remembrance.
Dr. Heather Jane Kelleher passed away on September 24, 2016. Dr. Kelleher completed her Ph.D at UBC in 1996 before serving for twenty years on Faculty in the Department of Curriculum & Pedagogy as an outstanding math education instructor and influential and popular textbook author. She was the originator and coordinator of the BC Early Numeracy project, leading the province and Canada by developing research-based strategies for assessing and supporting young children’s mathematical thinking.
There will be a celebration of Heather’s life at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, 3811 Point Grey Road in Vancouver on Saturday October 22 at 11:00 am.
