Professor Emeritus Jan de Bruyn passed away recently. Professor de Bruyn received his B.A. from UBC in 1949, returning to teach in the Department of English until his retirement in 1983. Professor de Bruyn was the founding editor of PRISM and co-author of The Canadian Writer’s Handbook.
