Professor Emeritus Raymond Scott Corteen passed away on February 26, 2017. Dr. Corteen came to the UBC Department of Psychology from the University of Edinburgh in 1968, retiring as a member of the Quarter Century Club in 1996. Professor Corteen’s research focused on the influence of television on reading and theoretical issues in the area of thought and language.
