John Yuille

The BC and UBC flags (at the North Plaza of the Old SUB) will be lowered on Monday, August 14, in memory of Professor Emeritus John Charles Yuille, who passed away on July 23, 2017.

Dr. Yuille came to the UBC Department of Psychology in 1968, was inducted to the Quarter Century Club in 2003, and retired in 2007. He is best known for his work with eyewitness research, human memory and forensic psychology. Dr. Yuille focused on fairness and justice for victims of crime, through his studies on law enforcement training and assessment of children’s testimony in court.
