The BC and UBC flags (at the North Plaza of the Old SUB) will be lowered on Wednesday, August 16, in memory of Professor Emeritus Oldrich Hungr who passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017.
Dr. Hungr came to UBC in 1996, after 24 years working in industry as a geotechnical engineer in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver. He was a pillar of the Geological Engineering program and the local consulting community. He retired from UBC in July 2016.
