The BC and UBC flags (at the North Plaza of the Old SUB) will be lowered on Monday, February 5, in remembrance.
Professor Emeritus Douglas Garfield Limbrey James passed away on January 17, 2018. Dr. James came to the Department of Chemistry at UBC in 1959 after serving at the National Research Council in Ottawa. He retired in 1990. A Celebration of Life is being planned.
