The BC and UBC flags (at the North Plaza of the Old SUB) will be lowered on Monday, May 7, in remembrance.
Librarian Emeritus William J. Watson passed away on April 13, 2018. Bill was a capable, willing, and much-admired administrator within the UBC Library system from the mid-1960s to the late 1980s and on two occasions he served as University Librarian. His contributions to an extensive campus building program over those years were noteworthy.
A gathering for Bill will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 2:30 to 4:00 pm at the Kerrisdale Community Centre.
