The BC and UBC flags (at the North Plaza of the Life Building (the Old SUB) will be lowered on Monday, October 22, in remembrance.
Professor Emeritus Yunshik Chang passed away on October 5, 2018. Professor Chang joined the Department of Anthropology and Sociology in 1966, retiring in 2003, but continuing his research on campus. Professor Chang was an expert in Korean Studies, researching development and social change, rural community, the individual in the community, and folk religion. His latest book was published earlier this year.
