The BC and UBC flags (at the North Plaza of the Life Building (the Old SUB) will be lowered on Wednesday, December 5, in remembrance.
Professor Michael Rochemont passed away on July 3, 2018. Professor Rochemont was a valued member of the UBC Linguistics Department from 1992 to 2018. He was recognized by his students and peers for his commitment to teaching and research for over 25 years and was inducted into the Quarter Century club in 2017.
The Department of Linguistics will hold a workshop to celebrate the life and work of Dr. Rochemont on December 5 & 6.
