Mr. Dirceu Campos passed away on August 4, 2022. Mr. Campos was currently employed in the Department of UBC Payroll Operations.
Gary Brayer
The BC, Musqueam and UBC flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) will be lowered on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in remembrance. Professor Emeritus Gary Brayer passed away on July 25, 2022. Prof. Brayer taught in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
Bruce Fleming
The BC, Musqueam and UBC flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) will be lowered on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in remembrance. Dr. Bruce Fleming passed away on July 19, 2022. Dr. Fleming taught as a Clinical Associate Professor with the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Djavad Mowafaghian, CM, OBC
The BC, Musqueam and UBC flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) will be lowered on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in remembrance. Dr. Djavad Mowafaghian, CM, OBC passed away on July 15, 2022. Dr. Mowafaghian received an honorary degree from UBC in 2014.
Donald M. McLean

Professor Emeritus Donald M. McLean passed away on July 12, 2022. Prof. McLean taught in the Department of Pathology.
Bramwell Tovey, OC

Dr. Bramwell Tovey, OC passed away on July 12, 2022. Dr. Tovey received an honorary degree from UBC in 2012.
William R. Buchan

Assistant Professor Emeritus William R. Buchan passed away on June 19, 2022. Prof. Buchan taught in the Department of Family Practice.
