The BC, Musqueam and UBC flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) will be lowered on Friday, September 15, 2023 in remembrance. Paul de Leon passed away August 31, 2023. Mr. de Leon served as a current staff member (Director of Finance & Operations) in the Department of Physics & Astronomy.
Karen Bakker

Professor Karen Bakker passed away August 14, 2023. Dr. Bakker was a current faculty member in the Department of Geography.
