National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

The Canada flag (at Flagpole Plaza), BC, Musqueam and UBC flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) as well as the Canada, BC, Okanagan Nation Alliance and UBC Flags at UBC Okanagan will be lowered on Wednesday, December 6, to mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

The Engineering Undergraduate Society, with support from the APSC EDI.I Office, is hosting a memorial ceremony on Wednesday, December 6, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, at the Fred Kaiser Atrium, to remember the 14 women who lost their lives and stand against violence towards women. All UBC students, staff and faculty are welcome to attend the ceremony.
