Professor Emeritus Doug Cochrane passed away February 17, 2024. Dr. Cochrane served in the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine.
Richard Doncaster (“Don”) Russell

Professor Emeritus Richard Doncaster (“Don”) Russell passed away January 31, 2024. Dr. Russell served in the Department of Geophysics and Astronomy, Faculty of Science.
Paul Thiele

Honorary Degree Holder Paul Thiele, LL.D. h.c., passed away December 11, 2023. Dr. Thiele was the co-founder of UBC’s Crane Library.
