The BC, Musqueam and UBC flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) will be lowered on Monday, December 22, 2025 in remembrance.
Professor Emerita Sharon Kahn passed away on November 3, 2025. Dr. Kahn served in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology and Special Education, Faculty of Education and was UBC’s first Director of Employment Equity and later, the first Associate Vice-President, Equity.
