A celebration of life was held in honour of President Emeritus David W. Strangway, O.C. on Friday, February 3, 2017, at the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre
Flags on both UBC campuses were lowered on December 15, 2016, following the initial news of Dr. Strangway’s passing. They were also lowered at both campuses on the day of the Celebration of Life (February 3, 2017) and on the campus of his alma mater, the University of Toronto.
