Remembrance Day

The Canada flag (at Flag Pole Plaza) and the BC, Musqueam, and UBC flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) on the UBC Vancouver campus, and the Canada, BC, Okanagan Nation Alliance and UBC flags at UBC Okanagan, are lowered on Saturday, November 11, in recognition of Remembrance Day.

The UBC Remembrance Day ceremony is being held in the War Memorial Gym on the Vancouver campus. This year’s ceremony will feature short readings, remarks from special guests and musical performances by UBC’s School of Music.

All UBC students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to attend the ceremony to honour and remember all those who served in times of war, military conflict and peace.
